Where to find the part number

Most replacement mistakes start with the wrong string. Read the number on the part you already have, then search SkuFit.

Garage remotes

  • Open the case (usually a small screw or clip). The SKU is often molded or printed on the circuit board or inside the back shell (81LM, 893MAX, etc.).
  • Also check the opener head: the learn-button color matters as much as the remote SKU. Use the learn-button guide.

Tool batteries

  • Look on the label wrap for the catalog number (48-11-1850, DCB205, …).
  • Confirm the rail family printed on the tool (M18 vs M12, 20V MAX, etc.). Packs do not cross platforms.

Fridge water filters

  • Pull the old filter and read the number on the cartridge body (EveryDrop EDR1RXD1, GE MWF, Samsung DA29-…, …).
  • Do not rely on “looks similar” photos. Housing shape and filter numbers are hard stops — see fridge filter compare.

HVAC furnace / AC filters

  • Read width × length × thickness printed on the cardboard frame edge (inches).
  • MERV / MPR grade is separate from size. Size guide: filter size. Grade guide: Filtrete MERV.

Faucet cartridges

  • After shutdown, pull the cartridge and read the stamp (Moen 1225 vs 1255 are different).
  • Moen cartridge guide

Then search
