MPR vs filter size

Filtrete MPR grade and the W×L×T stamp are independent. Buy both correctly.

Two decisions

  1. Size — read W × L × T on the old frame (e.g. 20x25x1, 16x25x1).
  2. Grade — MPR 1085 / 1500 / 1900 / 2000 (or MERV media cabinets).

A 1900-rated filter in the wrong size still fails. A correct size with the wrong depth (1″ vs media) also fails.

Media cabinets

Aprilaire / Honeywell media cartridges (e.g. 213, FC100A1003) are not 1″ Filtrete panels.
